Sake Rice

Fukui, the land of rice, where Koshihikari was born

Fukui Prefecture is the hot spot and birthplace of famous rice "Koshihikari".Local farmers study the rice every day and go through a trial-and-error process to make sure it is good rice.

We can chose famous rice from other regions to make sake, but local sake is need made with local rice and offered in thanks to the local gods at a festival. We brew our sake in gratitude for the luxury of polishing a grain of rice.
